Alhamdullilahi ala Ihsanihi in the year 1401 [AH] which corresponds to 1981 Babul Madina [Karachi] and the whole world witnessed the commencement of **Dawat-e-Islami** the international non political movement of the Qur’an and Sunnah! 

Ameer-e-Ahl-e-Sunnat, lover of Ala Hazrat, Mureed of Qutb-e-Madina, Hazrat Maulana Muhammad Ilyas Attar Qadiri Razavi Ziyaee with the help of a handful of Islamic brothers began the work of this madani movement.

As a result of the blessings and help of Allah [az’zawajal], the favors of the sweet beloved master [Sallalahu ta’ala alaihi wassalam], the auspiciousness of the Sahaba Ikraam [Companions], also with the look of mercy from the Men of Allah [az’zawajal] and the support from the Ulama [scholars] the madani Qafilay of these lover of the Beloved [Sallalahu ta’ala alaihi wassalam] began their sunnah inspired journeys from country to country, city to city and town to town. 

Due to the tireless efforts of the Mubaligheen of Dawat-e-Islami many millions of Muslims have become punctual in salah, drowned in the love of the Prophet [Sallalahu ta’ala alaihi wassalam], absorbed in fear of Allah [az’zawajal]. Countless thieves, drunks, murderers, fraudsters, fornicators, adulterers, gangsters, criminals etc etc and people who burned with wrong beliefs have repented, have drank the goblet of love for the madani master [Sallalahu ta’ala alaihi wassalam] and have become decent members of society. 

Dawat-e-Islami is an international, non-political, Islamic propagation movement of Qur'an and Sunnah. The word Da'wa itself means invitation, and thus, the name Dawat-e-Islami means invitation to Islam. Its main objective is to guide Muslims to act upon the teachings of Holy Qur'an and the Sunnah (traditions) of Holy Prophet Muhammad [Sallalahu alaihi ta’ala alaihi wassalam] and kindling their hearts with the compassionate love of Holy Prophet [Sallalahu alaihi ta’ala alaihi wassalam]. In addition, it also invites non-Muslims to the path of Allah[Azzawajal]

The Madani Mission of Dawat-e-Islami

We all seem to have some purpose of our lives. Some of us want to succeed in studies, and later get a decent job. While others seem to focus on their businesses and be successful in that. Some want to have a bright career in a certain sports. In all such fields, one makes it a purpose of his life to achieve that goal.Nevertheless, Ameer-e-Ahle Sunnat, Ameer-e-Dawat-e-Islami, Muhy-e-Sunnat, Ashiq-e-A'la Hazrat, Abu Bilal, Hazrat-e-Allama Maulana Muhammad Ilyas Attar Qadiri [Damat Barkatuhum Aaliya] has given each Muslim a unique and beautiful purpose of his life, which should be the real purpose of anyone's life, and that is

"TO AIM TO RECTIFY MYSELF AND AIM TO RECTIFY THE PEOPLE OF THE WHOLE WORLD – INSHA’ALLAH Azzawajal –"

In order to achieve this madani mission, Ameer-e-Ahle Sunnat [Damat Barkatuhum Aaliya] has given all Muslims two very important and beautiful madani phool. Therefore, he says that for the effort to correct ourselves we have to act upon the Madani In'amat, and for the effort to correct the whole world, we have to travel with the Madani Qafila. (Insha Allah). This is the life-time madani mission of each Islamic brother and sister who is attached with Dawat-e-Islami.

Dawat-e-Islami in nearly 175  countries

Dawat-e-Islami was started in 1981 in Karachi. In less than 30 years, not only did it become the most popular movement in Pakistan, but also started working in nearly 77 different other countries. It has made its way into people's hearts even in the existence of so many other movements. 

Alhamdullilah [az’zawajal] in a short space of just over 20 years Dawat-e-Islami has spread into nearly 77 different countries. All praise be to Allah [az’zawajal] the Lord of the Universe. Dawat-e-Islami has spread the obedience to Maslak e Ala Hazrat and the love of the Sunnah of the Prophet [Sallalahu ta’ala alaihi wassalam] into millions of hearts. The never-ending march to spread the Qur’an and Sunnah is still going on and will remain till the Day of Judgment.

Preaching amongst the non believers

Alhamdullilah [az’zawajal] the news of non-believers entering into Islam and becoming our brothers and sisters at the hands of the Mubaligheen [preachers] of Dawat-e-Islami is being received on a daily basis. Many non Muslim influential people have repented and joined us in the fold of Islam. Accordingly in the year 2003, approximately 200 non-believers of South Africa accepted Islam at the hands of Mubaligheen [preachers] of Dawat-e-Islami and became our Muslim brothers.

Also...

“On Thursday the 26th of Shawal ul Mukaram 1420 in the afternoon a Christian priest with his wife came to the threshold of Sheikh e Tariqat Ameer e Ahle SunnaT Maulana Muhammad Ilyas Attar Qadiri Razawi. 

Accordingly the Priest narrated: In this month alone I have had 4 dreams on separate occasions. In each dream I see a pious looking senior individual who has a thick beard and is wearing a Green Imama (Turban) on his head. He said to me each time “My name is Abdul Qadir and I am the king of Jilan, Go to Attar!” 

During this period I also saw Hazrat Isa Ruhullah (Alaihis Salaam) and he said to me “If you are looking for salvation then go to Attar” But I did not know who Attar was! So how was I supposed to find him? 

I opened up the bible and after searching for a while I came across an event which concerned a woman who was known as Attar. Ya’ani (e.g.) she used to sell Attar (Perfume/Scent). She loved Allah (Az’zawajal) very much and on one occasion she used very expensive Perfume to wash the feet of Hazrat Isa Ruhullah (Alaihis Salaam). Nevertheless it was impossible for me to meet her. 

Therefore I realised that the person who I am looking for must be an accepted man of Allah (Az’zawajal) who is living and breathing in the time and age. Thus I travelled to several Masjid’s’ to learn more about this Attar. Unfortunately for me I only came across those people who were completely against Attar and they opposed Attar. However I didn’t lose hope. Finally after all my inquiring I came to ‘Faizan e Madinah’ (Karachi) and at last came to the quarters of Attar. 

In order to be content about Islam I had some questions. After Attar had answered them I was 50% convinced about Islam, but I could not become a Muslim until I was 100% certain. After this Attar and I in our own ways did a Dua (Prayer/Supplication). After listening to Attar’s Dua, which could make even the hardest of hearts crack. I could not hold back my tears; the light of Imaan (Faith/Belief) had been instilled into my heart. 

My wife and I at once accepted Islam on the hands of Attar. He then gave us our Islamic names.

Madani attribute!

The former priest carried and on explained that in my dream I was told that one of the amazing attributes of Attar would be that he will never raise his gaze, he will always have his gaze lowered. In order to test him I had brought my wife and made her sit by my side right in front of Attar. Nevertheless he never raised his gaze. In a meeting which lasted two and a half hours I never saw Him or even his young son Hajji Ahmad Raza raise their eyes and look at me or my wife. During my investigation when I went to other people (those that opposed Attar) I realised that they were looking remarkably at my young wife more than they were looking at me.

I had another wife at home and a friend who I wanted to bring into Islam. Attar sent his son Hajji Ahmad Raza along with me to revert them. I am exceedingly thankful to Allah (Az’zawajal) that my two (2) wives and my 3 young children have accepted Islam, and are fully convinced.”

We received the good news that a non-muslim woman accepted Islam during the annual UK level Ijtima of Dawat-e-islami;

"During the Ijtima an announcement was made that a non Muslim woman who was present in the Ijtima reverted to Islam and became our Islamic sister. May Allah az'zawajal keep her committed to Dawat-e-islami and Grant her knowledge in Abundance! Ameen”

Faizan e Madina

Faizan e Madina is the name given to all Madani Centres of Dawat-e-Islami. Faizan e Madina can be translated into “Blessings of Madina” 

Thousands of Faizan-e-Madina can be seen through out the world, where ever Dawat-e-Islami is working. This both serves as a mosque and centre for the madani works of Dawat-e-Islami.

Madani Revolution in Islamic Sisters

Dawat-e-Islami revived the spirituality and practicality that the pious Muslims in the early stages of Islam used to practice. Because of this movement, thousands of sinners including criminals and gangsters have repented from their evil-doings. Countless others have started offering five times a day prayer regularly. Due to this very movement, thousands of youngsters have decorated their faces with beard. Millions of Islamic sisters have started using parda (hijab). 

Millions upon millions of Islamic sisters have accepted the madani message of Dawat-e-islami. Innumerable Islamic sisters who thrived in a society glutted with fashions, who worshipped obscenity and nudity, stepped out of this quicksand of sins and became lovers and strict followers of Princess of Both Worlds Hazrat Bibi Fatima bint Muhammad [Sallalahu ta’ala alaihi wassalam wa Radi Allahu Anha]. The ones who used to walk around with Dupatta’s knotted around their necks into shopping centres, the ones who were the highlights at the night clubs and cinema’s have been gifted with Modesty and Chastity. The madani burka has become an inseparable part of their clothing. Alhamdullilah [az’zawajal] there are millions of weekly Sunnah filled ijtima’s taking place for Islamic sisters all over the world. Universities for Islamic sisters have also been established. Hundreds of Islamic sisters have been blessed by Allah Azzawajal and have completed Alimah courses and have become teachers of millions.

Madani work amongst the deaf and dumb

There are millions of people in the world today who are deaf and dumb. These unfortunate people can neither talk not hear. Alhamdullilah az'zawajal Dawat-e-Islami has established comities to preach to these people. Alhamdullilah az'zawajal because of Dawat-e-Islami many deaf and dumb Muslim’s have become firm on the Qur’an and Sunnah and are dressed from head to toe in Madani fashion. Sign language is used to teach them Sunnah’s and also the weekly ijtima’s are relayed to them through sign language. 

Madani Qafila’s of deaf and dumb people regularly travel. Participants learn the necessary knowledge of Islam through sign language at the hands of the Mubaligheen of Dawat-e-Islami.

Madrassa-tul-Madina for kids

In this institution, kids are taught how to correctly recite Holy Qur'an. Hence, once the students complete this course, they know all the rules and regulations of reciting Qur'an with its correct pronunciation. In addition, students are also taught to memorize Qur'an in this institution. Alone in Karachi, about 300 Madaris are run under the management of Dawat-e-Islami, where about 42,000 kids are given the education. Dawat-e-islami also bears their expenses and provides free education, housing, and other necessities.

Madrassa-tul-Madina for adults

Dawat-e-Islami provides another great opportunity to those who couldn't learn how to recite Qur'an in their childhood for some reason. This privilege is provided after Salat-ul-Isha at hundred and thousands of mosques wherever Dawat-e-Islami is working. This Halqah lasts for about 41 min., in which participants are taught how to correctly recite Qur'an, memorize different short verses and Dua’s. Again, this is also 'fee sabeelillah', meaning that no one is charged or paid. 
Dars-e-Nizami (Alim course) 

Knowledge and those who convey knowledge are a great heritage of any nation. To protect and transform this valuable heritage, Dawat-e-Islami has built over 40 Jame'a-tul-Madina (universities) for Islamic brothers and 12 for Islamic sisters alone in Pakistan where Islamic brothers and sisters are given the necessary education to become A'lim (scholar). The length of this course is 7 years for Islamic brothers and 4 years for Islamic sisters. Islamic brothers are also provided with free housing. In this institution, students are not just taught to become scholars but they are also given the madani thinking to become practical scholar and make others practical.

Dar-ul-Ifta (shari'a/ Islamic law course)

In this institution, students are educated to learn the Islamic shari'a (Islamic law). Hence, once they complete their education, they serve the people of Allah Almighty by guiding them in different daily problems in the light of Qur'an and Hadees. Alone in Bab-ul-Madina, Karachi, 6 Dar-ul-Ifta centres have been constructed, where Muftyan-e-Karam [Mufti’s of Dawat-e-Islami] are serving the people by issuing Fatawa.

Some other Short Courses

Dawat-e-Islami also provides with some short courses. 63 days Tarbiyyati course, 41 days Qafila course, and 12 months Imamat course are such courses, where one gets the opportunity to learn a lot in less time. In all these courses, students generally learn how to correctly make Wudu (ablution), Perform Salat (prayer), and Ghusul. Moreover, they also learn how to perform Ghusl-e-Mayyet, Tajheez-o-Takfeen, Salat-ul-Janaza, Salat-ul-Eid. They correct their pronunciation of Qur'an, memorize last 20 soora’s of the Qur'an along with educating themselves on the topics of forgiveness, patience, controlling anger, humbleness, truthfulness, etiquettes of conversation, and creating a madani environment at home and outside etc. Also, they can lead in the prayer after finishing Imamat course and take madani Qafila to teach and spread the message of Islam after completing Qafila course. In addition, students become very practical and start trying to make others practical from the movement point of view after completing these courses.

Majlis-e-Tahqeeqat-e-Shari'a

People always need guidance on new matters, new technology, and usage of new products in the light of Qur'an and Hadees. The job of this majlis is to investigate and research on such new issues and then give the Fatwa (Islamic verdict). This involves a great work and responsibility. Therefore, Islamic brothers associated with this majlis, after their intensive research, consult other prominent Islamic scholars and then finally issue any Fatwa.

Majlis-e-Al Madina-tul-Ilmiyya

This majlis consists of Muftyan-e-Karam (Islamic Law Experts) who are spreading the message of Islam through literature and books. This majlis has the following 5 departments. 

1. Shoba Kutb-e-Ala Hazrat: This department translates the books of the scholar of the century, Ala Hazrat Imam Ahmad Raza Khan (Rahmatullah Ta'ala A'leh). So that people can read and benefit themselves easily from the books of such a great scholar. 

2. Shoba Darsi Kutb: This department works on those books that are taught in the Madaris (institutions) and Jame'at (universities). Also, this majlis writes new books for the students to be taught in their classes. 

3. Shoba Islahi Kutb: This department works on those books that are helpful to people from the correctional point of view.

4. Shoba Tarajm-e-Kutb: This department translates books of Ameer-e-Ahle Sunnat and Ulma-e-Ahle Sunnat in different other languages. To translate in English, work has already begun in UK under this department. 

5. Shoba Tafteesh-e-Kutb: Because of the high demand from public, different maktaba (publishing departments) publish books in greater quantity but they do not seem to care about the errors in the books. Therefore, several books get some serious errors and people seem to even lose their Eman (faith) because of such serious errors. The job of this department is to carefully observe any such error in the book and then stamp it to be ready for the publication. This involves a difficult task and much responsibility.

Majlis-e-Nashr-o-Asha'at

Media plays a great role in conveying a message. In today’s modern and busy world, no one can deny the importance and effectiveness of media. Therefore, Dawat-e-Islami stresses a lot on serving Islam through media. This majlis contacts the local newspapers to publish the literature on Islam. Also, this majlis reaches the local TV channels and makes it possible to serve Islam there.

Majlis-e-Rabita

This majlis has been set up to spread the message of the Qur’an and Sunnah to famous and influential people. A few years ago because of the efforts of this majlis the president of Pakistan attending the annual Islamabad Ijtima.

Majlis Bara-e-Ta'weezat-o-Maktoobat

There are many fake peers today who try to scam innocent Muslims into paying for Taweez. This majlis deals with giving out Taweezaat of Amir e Ahle Sunnat, Hazrat Allama Muhammad Ilyas Attar Qadiri [Damat Barkatuhum Aaliya] Free of charge. This majlis has branches in many countries including UK. 
Some narrations… 

One Aamil of Dawat-e-Islami states 
“One Islami bhy from Nottingham UK Muhammad Ibrar Attari narrated that my sister was diagnosed with T.B, our family was put to the test by Allah Az'zawjal. I didnt know which way to turn, the medicine from the doctors seemed to make my sister worse. Someone told me that a there is a madani doctor who gives the Ta'weez of Amir e Ahle Sunnat (Damat Barakatuhum Aaliya) free of charge. He further narrates; I attended the weekly ijtima of dawat-e-islami at Islamic Centre and afterwards met the Islami bhy at the Taweezat e Attariya maktab. After explaining in detail, he told me to meet him the next day. 

I met him the day after and he gave me a Ta'weez and some water which he had done damm on. 

I put the Taweez around my sister’s neck and started the water drinking course straight away. Alhamdullilah Az’zawajal, my sister is getting better, the T.B is slowly disappearing, her condition is much better than before. She couldn’t even move her neck, a few minuets after putting the Taweez on her, she started to move her neck around. 
Another Amil narrates 
One Islami bhy met me yesterday after the Madani Ijtima of Dawat-e-Islami and this is what he had to say: 

I have had strong pains in my stomach for the last couple of years. It isn't that kind of pain that comes and goes, I was in pain all the time 24/7. 

I went to many doctors and Amileen (People who give Ta'weez), i also spent hundreds of pounds and thousands of Rupees on Ta'weez from Peers and Sufi's from the UK and Pakistan, But my stomach wasn't getting any better. 

One of my friends gave me an invitation to attend the weekly Ijtima of Dawat-e-Islami, which takes place every thursday after Namaz e Isha (7:00) at Islamic Centre, Nottingham. 

During the Ijtima One of the Dawat-e-Islami brothers announced that there will be a madani doctor who will be giving Ta'weez for every disease except death. We were all requested to meet him after the ijtima and obtain a Ta'weez. 

At this point i was in 2 minds. I thought that i had already spent so much on Ta'weez, but they were not taking effect... but i decided to go ahead and check it out anyway. 

When the Ijtima finished i made my way to the back of the masjid and sat down in line. There was so many other Brothers who were waiting for a Ta'weez. I thought that these Dawat-e-Islami people must get alot of money. 

Finally my turn came and i told the Madani Doctor my Problem. He wrote something on a piece of paper and told me to put it in bottle of water and drink from that every day for seven (7) days. Then i asked him the most important question: 

" Brother how much is this Ta'weez?" 

His answer shocked me; i almost had a heart attack! 

“Brother, these Ta'weez are FisabiliLillah, you do not have to pay for them. Alhamdu-Lillah Az'zawajal Dawat-e-Islami just wants to help take away your problems." 

He also gave me a gift which he called 'Madani Tohfa', it was a book 'Faizan e Sunnat' which has been written by Maulana Muhammad Ilyas Qadiri. I haven’t read this book properly, but from skim reading it , i can already see that this book will be the reason why become Ba Amal. 
This same book cost £8.00 in my local book shop, and these brothers are giving them out for me. 

Alhamdu-Lillah, All praise be to Allah Ta'ala who guided me to this Ijtima, My Stomach disease which had been bugging me for many years, this disease which the doctors couldn't cure, this disease which the Amileen and Peers couldn't cure, this disease on which i had wasted so much money completely disappeared within 7 days after i started to use the Taweez of Maulana Ilyas Qadiri. 

There are many other incidents in which patients with brain tumours have been cured. Others who have been troubled by Jinn’s can now sleep easy at night! 
Alhamdu-Lillah there will be many people who you know who are suffering from diseases, illnesses and debt etc etc. Why not ask for a Taweez of Amir e Ahle Sunnat.

Majlis-e-Sho'ba-e-T'aleem

The youth are our future! The collages and universities have become bases for the spread of the madani mission. This Majlis works with students. Alhamdullilah there are Dars’ from Faizan e Sunnat, and Speeches taking place in hundreds of universities and colleges throughout the world under the supervision of Dawat-e-Islami.

Madani Work in Jails

Dawat-e-Islami Mubaligheen visit prisons to preach to inmates. Alhamdullilah Scholar courses have also been started in prisons, in which inmates are given the opportunity to learn their religion and become civilised members of society when they leave prison.

Majlis-e-Maktaba-tul-Madina

Dawat-e-Islami has published millions and millions of books, audio cassettes, CD's and VCD's of Ameer-e-Ahle Sunnat and Ulama-e-Ahle Sunnat under the management of one majlis, Majlis-e-Maktaba-tul-Madina.

Is Dawat-e-Islami Well-Organized?

Dozens of Majalis (committees) have been formed to enhance the madani work of Dawat-e-Islami. There is a Markazi Majlis-e-Shoora (Central Board of Executives) that is managing all the other Majalis. It is the great vision of Ameer-e-Ahle Sunnat that Makrazi Majlis-e-Shoora has set up a network of hundreds of majalis. Generally, a Majlis-e-Mushawrat (consultation committee) may have 3-5 Islamic brothers. 
• Each mosque is taken care by a majlis, and that is called majlis-e-mushawrat of that specific mosque. 
• 5 mosques together make one Halqah (circle), which are taken care by a majlis-e-mushawrat of that halqa. 
• 5 halqa together make on I'laqa (area), which are managed by a majlis-e-mushawrat of that i'laqa. 
• 5 i'laqa make one Tahseel. Those i'laqa are controlled by majlis-e-mushawrat of that tahseel. 
• 3 tahseels form a Divison, which are handled by majlis-e-mushawrat of that division. 
• All divisions, depending on the size of a province, together make one Sooba (province), which are run by majlis-e-mushawrat of that sooba. 
• All sooba (provinces) in a certain country are taken care by Intizami Kabina of that country. 
• An Intizami Kabina of a certain country is managed by Markazi Majlis-e-Shoora. Thus, Markazi Majlis-e- Shura takes care of Dawat-e-Islami in all countries of the world. 
Hundred and thousands of Islamic brothers are associated with these majalis. The same system can be seen for Islamic sisters. With the grace of Allah almighty, Dawat-e-Islami is approaching door to door and mosque to mosque. It has made its deep roots to reach the general public. In short, it is working in a well-organized way with the madani efforts of learned Islamic brothers.

Why Dawat-e-Islami?

One wonders that when there are so many other Islamic movements, then why to talk about Dawat-e-Islami.......... 
• It just minds its own business rather than criticizing others. 
• It has a world-wide madani mission. 
• People connected with this movement are really very practical and dedicated to their religion. 
• It welcomes people from all kinds of different walks of life.
